What To Do Right Now

Keep the door closed. Move product only if the box is above 41°F and climbing. Text a photo of the evaporator coil (iced over? fans turning?) and the thermometer reading to 601-337-1069. That photo often tells us the part before we leave the shop.

Why Walk-Ins Cost More Than Reach-Ins

Walk-ins carry more product and get pushed longer before anyone calls, so by the time we arrive the failure has often been running for days. The repairs skew toward refrigerant leaks and compressors instead of sensors and relays. A coil cleaning and a door-gasket check twice a year prevents most of the expensive ones.

Common Questions

Walk-In Repair Cost FAQ

My walk-in is at 50°F. Is that a compressor?

Usually not. Iced evaporator coils, a failed fan motor, or a defrost problem cause most warm walk-ins, and those are typical-range repairs. A compressor is the minority case, and we tell you the number before touching it.

How fast can you get here?

Warm walk-ins get priority because product loss has a clock on it. Text 601-337-1069 with your address and what the box is reading.

Should I buy a new walk-in instead?

If the repair is in the complex range and the condensing unit is more than ten years old, we show you the replacement number next to the repair number and let you choose.
