My AC is running but not cooling. What's going on?

The usual suspects: a dirty condenser coil that can't reject heat, a refrigerant leak that's bled the charge down, a frozen evaporator choking the airflow, or a failed capacitor leaving the outdoor fan or compressor dead while the blower keeps pushing warm air. Shut it off if the indoor coil is iced — running it frozen just makes things worse — and text us a photo of the outdoor unit's nameplate with what it's doing. We'll usually know what we're walking into before we arrive.

Should I repair or replace my AC system?

Depends on what failed and what the system is. Capacitors, contactors, fan motors, and small leaks are almost always worth repairing. A failed compressor on an older R-22 system is where the math flips — you'd be putting serious money into equipment running a phased-out refrigerant. We'll give you the repair number and the replacement number side by side and let you decide. We don't work on commission, and we'd rather fix what's fixable.

How fast can you get here?
